INTEL: CME Launches Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap Futures as Crypto Lineup Reaches 11

CME Group has launched Bitcoin Cash (BCH) and Uniswap (UNI) futures, expanding its regulated cryptocurrency derivatives offering to 11 digital assets.

Trading began on October 19, 2026, following the exchange’s September announcement. CME confirmed on October 20 that institutional trading firms FalconX and GSR had executed the first block trade in the new contracts.

The expansion provides investors with additional ways to trade and manage cryptocurrency price exposure through CME’s regulated derivatives marketplace.

CME Adds Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap Futures

The launch introduces four futures products covering Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap, each available in standard and smaller Micro contract sizes.

The contracts are structured as follows:

  • Bitcoin Cash futures: 250 BCH per contract
  • Micro Bitcoin Cash futures: 25 BCH
  • Uniswap futures: 10,000 UNI
  • Micro Uniswap futures: 1,000 UNI

These products allow market participants to gain exposure to BCH and UNI price movements or hedge existing positions without directly purchasing the underlying tokens.

All four contracts are available through CME’s regulated cryptocurrency marketplace, which supports trading around the clock.

CME Expands Its Crypto Futures Market to 11 Assets

With the addition of Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap, CME now offers single-asset futures linked to 11 cryptocurrencies.

Its existing lineup includes Bitcoin, Ether, XRP, Solana, Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar, Avalanche and Sui.

The new products broaden access beyond the largest cryptocurrencies and provide institutional traders with additional derivatives for managing exposure to digital assets.

FalconX and GSR participated in the first block trade, confirming institutional activity in the newly launched markets.

CME Crypto Derivatives Trading Reaches $7.9 Billion Daily

CME’s cryptocurrency derivatives business has continued expanding throughout 2026.

According to the exchange, its cryptocurrency futures and options recorded average daily trading volume exceeding 242,000 contracts in 2026 through the October 20 announcement, representing approximately $7.9 billion in daily notional value.

Average daily open interest approached 240,000 contracts, equivalent to approximately $14.3 billion in notional value.

CME also reported nearly $2 billion in year-to-date notional value growth from its 2026 expansion into Cardano, Chainlink, Stellar, Avalanche and Sui futures.

The Bitcoin Cash and Uniswap launch extends this expansion into additional cryptocurrency markets, giving institutional and other eligible participants more regulated instruments for trading and managing digital asset risk.
