INTEL: Revolut reports service disruption affecting multiple services, says customer funds and data

Revolut experienced a major service disruption on October 20, affecting customers’ ability to access accounts and complete everyday banking transactions.

The outage impacted multiple services including card payments, bank transfers, ATM withdrawals, account logins and cryptocurrency services. Customers reported declined transactions and difficulties accessing their money through the Revolut app.

Revolut confirmed the disruption and reassured customers that their funds and personal data remained safe. The company said its engineering teams were working to restore affected services.

The incident was linked to a broader Google Cloud outage affecting its London data center. Google reported network failures and elevated errors across multiple cloud services. Other financial institutions including Halifax and ING Germany also experienced technical difficulties.
